The 2 tone green you see is not the original, but very close to the original color. Paint
overall is in good shape. There is a scratch on the RR panel near the top, two of them 4
feet long. Some minor bubbling starting on a couple of door panels. Chrome is good,
with some pitting, but much less than you would expect from a car this age. The rockers,
frame, trunk, etc. are dry and solid. Dash is excellent, original AM radio works, rear seat
original upholstery and good, front seat has 2 tears on passenger side in the original
material. Some fraying of the brading around the windows. Original door panels and in
good condition. Dash clock does not work, all other electrical and gages are good. Engine
is tight and no smoking or oil leaks, runs smooth. Carb can sometimes give a pop when
deceleration from high speed. Manual choke is disconnected. Brakes work, but it does
pull to the left under heavy braking. I think the right wheel cylinder may be getting weak,
but not sure. Clutch seems to work good except it can chatter some in 1st gear. I do
not know if it needs adjustment or more. Has been this way since I bought the car. (It
may be the driver).
This car was originally delivered to United Auto Sales, Celina, Ohio.

Notes:
From the Endicott Estates car corral in Dedham, MA in July 2006, and eBay in August 2006:
The left rear taillight needs a new socket. The car has not been modified from the original
design. Since I bought the Edsel in 2004 this is what has been done:
Starter rebuilt, Fuel lines and gas tank flushed, Carburetor work to improve acceleration
(and choke disconnected) done by a qualified mechanic. Full tune up – wires, cap, rotor,
points, filters, plugs, etc.
