292 Ranger V8, automatic transmission
Edsel number
717968 manufactured in Louisville, KY
Owner:
Ed Fischer
This Edsel was originally from Georgia, runs good, and is clean and sharp. Everything is
original except my Dad had it painted from mid body chrome down. The car was always kept
in a garage. The car starts easily and drives good. Each spring and fall it is
driven 135 miles to and from storage and has run fine on those trips. I am not a expert
at ranking but from studying the other Edsels I would say this one would be exterior 3 or 3+,
interior 4, trunk 3, engine compartment 4. Several of the dash controls do not
work. Last time I drove it over 70 mph on the freeway it heated up a little. Also,
some of the lights do not function. A little attention is needed on these details.
I welcome any calls or email about this car. This was my dad’s favorite, I hate to see it go,
but it needs to belong to someone who really appreciates Edsels. A fair price and good
home is what we are looking for.

Notes:
This was my late father's “fine 59”. I am reluctant to sell but I have two of his
collectable cars and am behind maintaining both the way he would like. I want to see this
classic get a good home and enjoyed more.
