We were helping a fellow dealer restore and refurbish this Edsel.  At the restoration shop, the car developed an electrical short and of course, caught fire and burned the carburetor, wires, wiring, inner fenders, hood, etc.  Some items that were just replaced were burned.  Can you see the money just flying out the window?

Anyway, the owner decided to quit before the beating gets worse.  It's not running now, but was driving before the fire.  The interior did not receive any fire damage, and the underdash wiring is not burned.  The hood is, as well as carb, distributor cap, wires etc.  The hood has a burn spot, but the paint shop says it can be easily repaired.
