RM Auctions, as reported in Special Interest Auto:
"A decent car upon first inspection, it went down hill from there. Steering wheel had been
cut down to a 2/3 circle, unusual gauge cluster added in center, and under the hood everything
was spray painted black. Equipped with power steering and brakes, 1958 style radio and
Dial-Temp heater-defroster. Complete exterior color change that complimented the interior
quite well. No signs of rust out or major metal maladies, but the seller's story was
suspect. Overall condition 3, bid to $24,000 no sale. We really didn't see anyone
with their hand in the air for this car, and if there had been this money in the room, it
would've been a gift from Above for this example. Anything in the high teens wouldn't
have been disgraceful, and with a couple of thousand and a new steering wheel, it had potential."
