The good points are that with some minimal work you can have it inspected and driving
while you work on it. Motor runs well and it drives smoothly.

Notes:
Pretty much a complete car with running motor and good transmission, drives and
handles fairly nicely. Repainted 2-tone maroon and black but the interior is
all original untouched with the exception of a replaced radio and speakers in
back window.
We had an inspection mechanic go over the car and it would need the following for a
PA inspection: 1 headlight replaced, 3 other light bulbs, a wiper arm thats missing
RH side, the horn needs fixed, the trunk floor has some holes that need repaired or
a trunk pan needs to be put in and there is one hole about the size of a pinky in the
frame next to one of the LH body mounts. The quarter panels have some flex to
edges back near trunk on both sides and need some strengthening. There is a hole
the size of a quarter on the RH front edge of hood but the hood is solid still. Drum
brakes are good all the way around, and the master cylinder we replaced about 4 months
ago. The engine starts well, has a choke and the cold makes it a bit
tempermental. The car definitely needs to be repainted and much of the chrome needs
to be redone, some of it just polished. The rear package tray was poorly done for
the speaker install and shows some deterioration, and the door panels are curly on
the bottoms, LH sunvisor is warped, it could use new door seals, the ignition wire is
working but not routed properly, the bottom edge of the windshield has some whitening and
the tires need to be replaced. The only trim piece missing is the little "D" on the
hood in the name EDSEL.
