Very original car with its original window sticker invoice ($3,374.53 - what a bargain!)
This Edsel was purchased in 1976 from the original owner, and has never been driven
since it changed hands. It was garaged for 24 years and has been outside for
6 years. It needs to be completely restored, but is in very good condition for
its age. The exterior is in good shape - no wrecks or body work ever. The
paint was getting thin on the front fenders and some primer was showing through, so
I had them sprayed with primer. Very minor rust on the lower left rear fenders
around the wheel well, also at the very bottom of the driver's door and lower
corner edge of the front fender. All chrome and stainless pieces are in very good
shape. The interior needs to be restored but is not totally gone. The
carpets were removed and the floor is in very good condition. All windows function
and are in good condition. Has the original seat belts, with shoulder
harness belts for the front. The trunk is in good condition with the original
spare and jack. The engine has not been started since 1990 and needs to be
brought up to current specs, but is 100% original.
