Notes:
(Disclaimer: Much of the following information is judged to the best of my knowledge, as there is no physical evidence
to verify some of my assumptions, there are always possibilities unforeseen.) Very old bias ply tires in original thin
white wall style, second paint job (original color), currently has color-coded spinner wheel covers, but originally had
standard '58 "E" wheel covers (they go on and off the car, depending upon the occasion). Remanufactured Holley, radiator
and starter. All new brakes (still drums). New water pump and resistor, newer battery, original hood and trunk insulation,
older repaint of valve covers, all original motor and transmission otherwise. New fuel tank, brake lines, and shocks, original
style horns (may very well be original), angle-cut exhaust pipe. New cardboard trunk trim (with jack decal), new trunk mat,
repainted jack and tool, new upholstery (very close to original style), original headliner and rear shelf, remanufactured sun visors,
new overhead light bracket and lens, new accurate Edsel reproduction carpet, aftermarket shifter knob (looks to be 50's or early
60's). Dimmer switch burnt out so dash lights have been rerouted. New kick panels, aftermarket "E" floor mats, new but stock
style seatbelts, new brake and clutch pedal pads, all original wiring, heater, speedometer, and radio speaker. New antenna (original
style) and remanufactured radio. All original glass and chrome. Original headlamps (to my knowledge, they are at least the
original style), original tail lamps (missing chrome trim, I have some of it, but it all fell off, of course), right front parking lens
has been replaced. Original dash paint.
With the exception of the rocker panels that have been replaced, all body panels are original and pretty bondo-free. There are no
rust holes in the trunk, and only one small hole in the floor under the accelerator pedal.
Purchased new by 20 year senior International Edsel Club member Mr. William Mielke.
