Notes:
This is an early production car that was a "give-away" car at a local food chain in Sept of '57. I
am the second owner and have known the car my entire life. The original owner was a family friend
and I acquired the car in 1976. This is some what a survivor car in that I have tried to only
"maintain" the car rather than restore it.
It has the E-400 with original equipment LEVER automatic. This is not a T-bird or Merc
change-over. The interior is all original save for aftermarket front seat belts. It is in very
good original condition. Has factory tach, clock and heater. Radio delete is as car was
delivered. Heater core or control valve does leak and has been blocked off this summer. It has
low mileage radial tires for safe highway operation. Brakes were gone trough in 2007 including
hoses, lines, wheel and master cylinder. New fuel line as well. Has
the original 2:91, 9" third member. Transmission does have a leak but operates just fine. I would
not be afraid to drive this car anywhere in the lower 48 of U.S.A.
The front fenders, roof, both doors and lower quarters have been repainted. The top was shot in 2002
out of necessity. All four of the original "dog dish" hub caps have been beautifully re-chromed as
well.
This car is now, and has always been, in southeastern Iowa.
