Notes:
39,000 original miles. I don’t think the odometer has rolled over due to the condition of
the pedals and the paint on the engine itself. I believe the piston rings are worn, and the
engine will most likely need a rebuild. I’ve owned the car for about a year and got it
roadworthy, took it to a few shows, when the spark plugs started getting covered in oil. If
you clean them up the car will drive for a handful of miles before they get fouled up again. The
compression is even amongst cylinders, but if you run a wet compression test the compression goes up,
which is why I believe the rings are worn. As for new parts on the car, I did new brake shoes
and wheel cylinders now the rear, changed fluids and filters, and rebuilt the original
carburetor. The car was repainted in the 80s with a metallic green, the original color was a
lighter colored green. The paint is not perfect, but a solid 15 footer for sure. It’s got
a few scratches and flakes but she cleans up nice. The interior is original and the seats have
a few tears but they’re pretty good, the carpet is a little beat. One of the radiator mounts
has a little Swiss cheese rust going on, and one of the body mounts is a tad bit rusty, but that’s
it. Whitewalls have decent tread but are a little old. I put the nicer Edsel spinner hubcaps on
it. The car’s data plate was recorded by Gary Brunsch way back in 1977 in Wisconsin, which is
where I bought the car. Love this car but I just don’t have time or money to put into it right
now, and it definitely deserves a good home.
