Notes:
As far as I know, the Edsel has been a Southern California car for all of it's life.  It was last registered in 1968.  I started work on the car last year, so all the new/rebuilt parts and work are from then to current.  It has a clear California title.  I have driven the car about 25 miles since it was brought "back to life", and appears to run and drive fine.  It could use a minor tune-up (timing and carb adjustment).

Here is what has been done to the car:

New 29NF battery (correct size).  Rebuilt heads (original-early style w/ freeze plugs).  Completely rebuilt transmission.  Rebuilt master and wheel cylinders, using silicone brake fluid (DOT 5).  New brake hoses.  Rebuilt starter and Bendix drive.  New "dual-action" fuel pump.  Rebuilt generator.  Rebuilt water pump.  Rebuilt original Ford 4-barrel carburetor.  TeleTouch shift motor has been disassembled, cleaned, lubed, and adjusted (Yes, it works!).  Trico vacuum windshield wiper motor has been disassembled, cleaned, and lubed.  Gas tank cleaned out.  Top of tank weather-proofed. Sending unit has been dis-assembled and cleaned.  New ignition parts: Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points.  Original working AM radio has been cleaned, lubed, and tubes tested.  Original 6x9 speaker has been re-coned.  New brass "freeze" plugs.  Cooling system flushed and filled with a mixture of 50/50 Prestone anti-freeze and water.  New Radiator hoses.  New cowl drain hoses.  New air filter element.  Jack and stand (original) have been stripped and repainted.

Paint is mostly original.  Front end has been re-painted w/ the doors "blended-in".
Exhaust system is there and usable, but should be replaced in the near future.  Power steering reservoir has fluid in it.  No leaks.  The belt was off when I got the car.

Body is very, very decent with only very minor dings.  There is some rust in the typical places.  Corners of the front footwells, where the original rubber cowl drain hoses would rot and start to leak.  These hoses have been replaced by me.  Underbody, beneath the license plate.  Some minor bubbling on the right-side rocker panel.  Trunk floor has minor surface rust.  All these areas have been cleaned out and sprayed with Extend, which tends to turn metal/rust black, so those are the "dark spots" which you may see in the above mentioned areas.

Bumpers are generally good, no rust.  Front bumper(s) have the usual dent from underneath, but is not noticable unless you're lying on the ground.  Chrome is average.  I would say that they are "drivers".  Stainless is complete, and some pieces have very minor dings.
Interior seats are original.  Usable, but "sun-baked".  Great for a pattern. Door panels need replacing.  Look at the rear panels to see what they are supposed to look like (The rear panels are great).  No carpeting or headliner.  Dashboard originally had a "padded" dash, which has been removed.  Top of dash has been primed.  Instruments all work.  All dash lights work, including dimmer.  Idiot light for temperature has been replaced with an aftermarket gauge.  Glove box and dome lights work.

Tinted glass is good, with exception of the passenger-side door glass, which has a small 1-1/2" V-shaped crack at the top, going into the stainless window frame.
Tires are Remington G78-14 Wide White Side Walls.  These only have about 25 miles on them.  Taillight lenses: Three are good.  The right outer is cracked.
