1958 Edsel Data Plate


(Ranger/Pacer/Wagons)


The Junior Series 1958 Edsel data plate is 3-1/2 inches wide by 1-3/4 inches high.
Printed on the plate is the EDSEL name and patent numbers issued to the Edsel Division.

The first stamped line ("Serial Number") contains codes to identify the engine, model year, place of manufacture, body style and consecutive unit number.  The second line identifies the body style, number of doors, colors, interior trim, date of manufacture and other drivetrain options.

(Paint color codes are up to three letters, for main body, roof and scallop.  Pacer convertibles
will have a space in place of the second or third letter to indicate no roof paint.)
