Ad Submission Guidelines

To submit your Edsel ad via e-mail:

Read and understand the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

State the model (Ranger/Pacer/Citation/Roundup..), model year (1958-60) and body style (2-dr, 4-dr, sedan/hardtop/conv/wagon).
Including the full 2-line vehicle ID number (located by the hinges of the driver's door) is preferred.

Describe the condition as best as you can - including body, chrome, glass, engine, interior, etc. Attach a scanned image if possible.

Include a contact name, email address and where the car is located geographically. An additional address and phone number is good as well. Please include any preferred time to call.

NEW: You may also request that your ad not display your own email address, but instead show "forsale@edsel.com". Your email will only be disclosed to potential buyers after passing a screening. The benefit to this option is that the chances of being contacted by "scammers" (see the Scam Alert link below) and "spammers" (mass-emailers) is reduced. The downside is that responses may be delayed, as forwarding them to your real email address will add processing time. If no indication is made with the ad's submission, the ad will be posted with your email address.

Only complete (or nice condition nearly-complete) Edsels are listed on the Edsels For Sale site. Parts cars will be posted to the Parts Available Page unless there are multiple cars in an ad, in which case the ad may appear on both pages.

The Edsel Pages classified ads are ONLY for Edsel cars and related parts and accessories for sale or wanted. The administration and support services of Edsel.com are not responsible for the accuracy of descriptions of items posted for sale. Just like your local newspaper, the above will not be held responsible for any losses incurred as a result of any transactions initiated through this forum.

All ads submitted are subject to review and will be published at the discretion of the moderator. Ads may not be commercial in nature - in other words, if the sale of an item will result in a profit for your business, do not submit your ad here. Additionally, if your Edsel or Edsel item is also listed on an on-line or off-line auction site, do not submit your ad here. When the item is listed in an auction, you've made a contractual commitment with the auction service to sell the item to the highest bidder. If a higher offer was received from a response to your Edsel.com ad, you would still be required to sell the car or item to the auction bidder, so there is no point in posting the Edsel ad here.

The Edsel Pages classified ads are a free service to Edsel enthusiasts, to keep as many of these cars on the road as possible. There is currently a three-year time limit to the duration of your posting - the ad stays for this time until the car or item is sold or until the seller indicates a desire to remove it via email. These conditions may be subject to change.

This is a manual process, however, so please realize that it may not be possible to post, remove or edit particular ads immediately. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this site to post any advertisement which is knowingly false, inaccurate, vulgar, or commercial in nature.

The administration of Edsel.com reserves the right to delete any ad for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your ad.

Right is also reserved to reveal your identity (or whatever information is known about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any ad posted by you.

Submitting an ad implies that you agree with these terms.
